Snow in London

Apparently it doesn't snow in London itself too often - something like every 3 years so I guess we must be lucky as there have been 2 different snow falls so far. The first was on 24th Jan while I was away for work in Birmingham but Cass got some good snaps. The first is just outside our door while the second is the park on the way to the tube.

The second lot of snow was a lot wetter than the first and so didn't last as long but it was still cool. This was on the 8th Feb. As you can see the snowfall was really heavy and the first one was taken at a small park just next to work. The second is just outside our door again.

Brussels - Day Two

In the next two pictures you can see the famous Manneken Pis which is the statue of the little boy peeing. The story goes that he was with his family in the Grand Place and got lost and started wondering the streets. A few days later he was found peeing in the corner and so a statue was errected. The first day he was dressed up and the next day when we went past he was bare.

Cass enjoying some free tasting from a chocolate fountain!

Brett putting back a 7% beer in this test tube like glass with a cool wooden stand. As you can see they like pouring beer with heaps of head.

And of course no Brussels trip is complete without trying heaps of waffles!

Brussels - Day One

Well not long after we came back from Vienna we were on the Eurostar to Brussels. A beautiful, little city full of great architecture, waffles, beer and of course chocolate!! We had a great time just chilling out and wandering around the city enjoying all of the above.
The following three photos are of one of the fascinating churches - St Michael's Cathedral at the top of the town

Now thats an organ!

Three of the remarkable buildings in the Grand Place - the last is Hotel De Villiers which is actually the town hall.
